The desi geek on Big Bang Theory finally speaks

Kunal Nayyar has turned out to be quite a star in this Season's hot sitcom - The Big Bang Theory on Zee Cafe. The 'Indian connection' has no doubt helped in winning over English audiences in India and many want to know more about 'Rajesh Koothrapali'.

Born in London and bred in New Delhi, Nayyar currently lives in Los Angeles. He has always been proficient in entertainment, and his Cotton Candy play continues to run in Delhi, even as he finishes writing his first feature film.

Nayyar's character, Rajesh 'Raj' Koothrappali is a brilliant Stephen Hawking fan with a heavy Indian accent. He's really shy and has considered marrying an Indian woman -- because she can sing their future kids desi lullabies.

There's an interesting interview with Chit Chat Girl which you can check out.

The Insider's favorite part in the interview?
Here goes..

Being a nerd or geek is popular on TV right now, there is Chuck on NBC and you guys on CBS so would you say that your character is more a nerd, or a geek or neither?

Actually I think Koothrappali is a sexy beast [laughs]. Well I would say that he is a geek-nerd who is a nerd-geek. He is just a very smart guy who lives in a bubble and doesn't really care what is going on around him as long as particle physics is evolving his life is good.
